The Platform Arts Centre This used to be the towns Promenade Railway Station. It was converted into an entertainment centre after the station moved to a new location in the mid 1990s. The Platform is a small venue which can host a number of events including: theatre, cabaret, fairs, small concerts etc. It is located on the Central Promenade, opposite the Midland Hotel. A family pub is housed at one end while the Tourist Information Centre is at the front of the building. |
