Midland Hotel

Urban Splash have been granted planning permission to restore and refurbish the currently derelict Midland Hotel.  New features will include a roof top terrace, replacement sun lounge, outdoor pool and indoor bath-house.  The building will also have many of its original features restored.

The company also intends to redevelop the surrounding area which includes the former Harbour Band Area, Bubbles Site etc.

Victoria Pavillion (Winter Gardens)

The Friends of the Victoria Pavilion are all set to purchase the theatre from the present owners.  They propose to restore the inside of the building to include a multipurpose entertainment complex.  At present they are trying to raise funds to level the floor of the auditorium which will enable it to be used for a wide range of uses.
