Right and Below: 12/04/2007

It was on this day that I finally got round to splitting this plant.  Although there it might have been possible to split into four it was a bit risky.  The section in question was too close together for a successful split.  In time maybe I'll be able to look at this one again.

As you can see two of them are still flowering.  This are very delicate to the touch and you must be careful not to damage them.

For the compost I used a mixture of equal parts of compost and moss to which a handful of sharp sand was also added.

The moss I used was from the tarmac outside.  This was dried and chopped up.

After potting each plant was again stood in about 1 cm of rain water.  This of course will have to be topped up on a regular basis.
