Gold & Red Cat This is one I did in 2008. It took me a few months to complete. I used a poly cat garden ornament as a base and applied mirror tiles to the outside. I chose gold and red to make the design stand out. This was an early experiment. It involved using a poly cat as a base and covering it with mosaic mirror tiles. The colours were separated to make them look like distinct markings on a cat. The only extra colour used was the green mirror for the cat's eyes. This was one of the only mosaics that wasn't planned as such. I just saw the base and thought it would be an interesting one to mosaic. I then took a black marker pen I drew on where I wanted the two colours to be separated. After that, I simply attached the tiles and grouted in the normal way.
